I’m a bit of a movie buff. I love all different kinds of movies and I always buy the ones I like. When DVDs came out, I thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. I bought tons of them, until an unpleasant reality slapped me in the face: I was running out of space to store them. I owned well over two hundred DVDs and my collection just kept growing and growing. At some point I simply wasn’t going to have room for them all.

If I stopped buying DVDs, though, how could I satisfy my urge when I began craving a particular movie? I’d love to be able to watch what I want when I want, without having huge piles of DVDs clogging up my apartment. Enter RCN ? my local digital TV provider, a competitor to Cox, Comcast and DirecTV. RCN’s Impulse On Demand (IOD) service delivers movies right to me whenever I want them.
