Suse Linux 9.2 Live CD or DVD
You can get a sneak peek at Suse Linux 9.2 by trying the Live CDs/DVD. There’s a CD with just Gnome and one with just KDE. Or you can download everything by downloading the Live DVD.

I’m very glad that Live DVDs are beginning to make their appearance. I loathe having to burn multiple CDs to install or view a distro. The time is here when all distros are available on DVD. It’s simply so much faster and easier when you have to install them. And the DVD can obviously hold so much more than a single CD.
I just went through some headaches with the install version of Suse 9.2. I downloaded all five CDs, burned them and then went to install Suse. Well there was a problem with the second CD and the install wouldn’t complete properly. I didn’t have time to download it again to see if there was a burning error or if the iso itself was just screwy. So I told the Suse PR person that I’d just wait for the DVD to be released before considering a review.
One disc download and one burn. Period. That’s the way it should be at this point.
