Life After ExtremeTech

Well the countdown has begun until Friday, my last day at ExtremeTech as Community Manager. Loyd’s farewell column is up and it’s touching to see some of the messages there. It’s nice to know that ET has meant so much to so many people. And it will live on in its new form and probably as an archive. So that will be good.

I’m actually pretty excited as I am a believer that when one door closes, another opens. Yeah it’s a cliche but it’s very true.

I have my new Desktop Linux Reviews blog up and I have some content there already. And the iPhone Apps Review Blog (formerly the iPhone Software Reviews Blog – don’t ask me why I originally registered it as “software” instead of “apps”…duh!) has a nice review of iPhone OS 3.0. These two projects will keep me plenty busy while I look for full-time and freelance gigs.

Which reminds me, my public profile is up on LinkedIn if anybody wants to check me out for a possible gig.

So I will look back at my days at ET with warm memories and a lot of smiles. Good times, for sure.
