Keeping KDE 3.5 Alive
SJVN notes that somebody is trying to keep KDE 3.5 alive. I’m not a KDE guy, I usually use GNOME. But I like the idea of keeping KDE 3.5 viable, at least for a while.
I love it. KDE 3.x, which has always remained my favorite Linux desktop interface, is making a come back. A tiny [...]
KDE 3 or KDE 4?
KDE 3 or KDE 4?
Two and a half years after the KDE 4 series of releases began, many users are still using KDE 3. A preference for the familiar seems to motivate some; while others seem influenced by the rumors that began with the botched 4.0 release. Still others want a feature that the [...]
Customize Your Linux Desktop
Maximum PC has a great article about Linux desktop customization:
The days of ugly Linux desktops are a thing of the past. Modern distros include many tools and options that enable them to look good and be more useful.

Maintenance release of KDE is out. Doesn’t seem worth getting too excited about but if you’re a KDE user you might want to snag it. See the changelog for what’s been added/changed.
eWEEK Reviews Gnome 2.8 and KDE 3.3
eWEEK has reviews of KDE 3.3 and Gnome 2.8.
I haven’t had time to play with KDE 3.3 but I think I’ll make some after reading eWEEK’s take on it. I always prefer Gnome for daily desktop use but there’s no doubt that KDE is quite polished and offers a lot as well.
KDE User Learns the Virtues of Gnome
Heh,heh. Gnome users gotta love this article: A KDE user falls in love with Gnome! Well okay, “falls in love” is a bit strong but you get the idea. It’s nice to see someone as open-minded as this guy though. Good for him.
Gee…this is like the Mac OS! It’s got the little [...]
